MTA ACT - Working With Government to Raise the Standard

The ACT Motor Trades Association has a good relationship with the ACT Government and - through MTA Australia - the federal Government.

This enables us to work closely with Government to raise the standard of motor vehicle sales, service and repair for the ACT and region.

Our Achievements with the Government

Together with the Government MTA ACT has:

• implemented standards for responsible emissions and waste management that protect the environment and reduce carbon consumption

• negotiated new industrial awards and assisted members to comply with them to ensure vehicle owners have the best trained staff available to meet their needs

• Developed a new Motor Vehicle Repair and Service Industry Code of Practice to ensure that motor vehicle owners receive reliable, quality value for money service and repairs from MTA members.
